Ryder Drivers operate well-maintained, safe trucks across multiple routes with guaranteed weekly earnings on specific routes and additional pay per mile, stop, and dispatch. Training is provided and weekends are typically off.

Qualifications

• Experience requirements are listed (9 months in past 3 years, 2 years in last 5 years, or 5 years in last 10 years).
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions; ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws, regulations, and agency rules.
• Detect and mitigate safety hazards; maintain accurate records/logs.
• Loading/Unloading freight or assist as required by customer.

• Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly
• Weekly Guarantee: $1850 per week on Long Island Routes
• Weekly Guarantee: $1500 on PA, MD, NYC Routes
• $28.50/hr while flexing to other accounts
• Solo Miles Pay:$0.5565 per Mile with 1200-1500 Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay:$21.19 per Stop with 30 Stops per Week Average
• Travel Pay, Mileage and Hotel
• New York City Dispatch: $31.51 per Dispatch
• Long Island Dispatch: $70.00 per Dispatch
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday – Friday NO WEEKENDS
• Start Time: 3:00 AM - 6:00 AM Dispatch

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities
