Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Team Driver in Laredo, TX. The role features weekly pay, paid training, and comprehensive benefits. You will drive as a team on a schedule including nights and weekends, with 53' dry van equipment and no-touch freight where available.

Ryder offers a weekly guarantee of $1,650, a team miles pay, and quarterly safety bonuses. Routes include home weekly and training on all equipment. Join a community-focused logistics team.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A CDL with appropriate endorsements.
• 9 months of tractor-trailer experience in past 3 years (or 2 years in last 5, or 5 in last 10).
• Ability to pass a Ryder drug test, background and motor vehicle check, DOT physical, and road test.
• Must be able to operate manual transmission.

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal/state laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records and logs of driving activity.
• Load/unload freight or assist as required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Team Miles Pay:$0.2250 per Mile with 5420 Miles per Week
• Team Stops Pay:$8.00 per Stop with 2 Stops per Week
• Drop and Hook Pay: $3.50 per Drop/Hook
• Safety Bonus:Pays You $300 Four Times A Year, Every Quarter
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday
• Start Time: Dispatch at 11:00 PM Tuesday

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
