Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver for routes in the region. The role offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and paid training. Expect team-based mileage pay, stop pay, and drop/hook earnings, with a sign-on bonus and loyalty bonuses over time.

Drivers operate Sleeper tractors hauling Dry Van trailers on regional routes, with 3–4 days out and a weekend return. Medical, dental, and vision coverage begin after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A CDL with verifiable experience.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a drug test and a background check including motor vehicle records.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws and company policies.
• Maintain accurate logs and records.
• Load/unload freight if required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly


• Team Miles Pay:$0.69 split per Mile with 6000 Miles per Week


• Team Stops Pay:$15.00 split per Stop with 4 Stops per Week


• Drop and Hook Pay: $10.00 split per Drop/Hook


• Sign-on Bonus pays you $1250 at 30 days and $1250 at 90 days


• Loyalty pays you $1250 at 6 months and $1250 at 1 year


• Paid Training


• Schedule: Leave out Sunday/Monday; return Friday/Saturday

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age


• Pass a Ryder Drug Test


• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years


• Pass a DOT physical


• Pass a Ryder road test


• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position


• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:


• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR


• 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR


• 5 years' experience within the last 10 years


• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions


• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
