Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Hurst, TX is seeking a Class A CDL Regional Truck Driver to join our team. This role offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

You will haul no-touch freight, primarily regional with home daily options, 52+ hours per week, layovers, and hotel stays when required. Start times are typically AM Dispatch, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Hold a valid Class A CDL with endorsements.
• 9 months of experience in the past 3 years OR 2 years in the past 5 OR 5 years in the past 10.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations and guidelines.
• Detect and minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading if required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Mileage Based Pay + Stops
• Hours Per Week: 52+ hours per week
• Layover Pay
• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel
• Schedule: Monday- Friday (Occasional Sunday dispatch as needed)
• Start Time: Primarily AM Dispatch

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
