Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver to operate regional routes delivering with a focus on safety and reliability. The role offers weekly pay, paid training, and robust benefits, including 401(k) with company match, and lucrative sign-on/retention bonuses.

Expect 2-3 layovers per week, 3:00 AM start windows, and manual sleeper tractors with tanker endorsements preferred. The position covers multiple states with non-touch freight and strong emphasis on compliance and safety.

Qualifications

• Must have CDL Class A with valid endorsements.
• Pass Ryder drug test and background check.
• Pass DOT physical and Ryder road test.
• 9 months to 5 years trucking experience as specified.
• Must be able to read and follow written and/or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws and Ryder policies.
• Maintain accurate logs and records.
• Load/unload freight or assist as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday - Friday; Rotating Sunday Dispatch
• Start Time: 3:00 AM - 6:00 AM
• Sign on Bonus: Pays you $2000 at 30 days, $2000 at 90 days
• Retention Bonus: Pays You $2000 at 6 months
• Safety Bonus: Pays You $1500 at 3 months, $1500 at 6 months and $1500 at 9 months

• Deliver SOLO to:OH, MI, IN, PA, WV, MS, AL, GA, IL, TN, AR, SC, NC, KY
• Route: Regional w/2 - 3 layovers per week

• Cannot accept automatic restriction
• Freight: No Touch - Driver will connect hoses and pressurize trailer w/assistance
• Endorsements: Tanker REQUIRED,Hazmat preferred - Ryder will train and help you obtain Hazmat.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned
