Ryder System, Inc. in Orlando, FL is hiring a Class A Part Time Truck Driver. The role offers weekly pay and pay rate of $28.50 per hour, with a part-time schedule and paid training. Start times range 2:30 AM to 5:30 AM. Local home daily routes cover a 200–250 mile radius of Orlando, with day cabs and flatbed loads.

Applicants must have a valid Class A CDL and the required endorsements, plus 9 months–5 years of tractor trailer experience as specified. Uniforms and more benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a CDL with appropriate endorsements.
• Class A verifiable tractor trailer experience as specified (9 months/2 years/5 years windows).
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.

Responsabilités

• Safely drive a commercial vehicle and comply with safety & DOT regulations.
• Maintain accurate records and logs; load/unload freight if required.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations and customer rules; identify safety hazards.

• Hourly Pay: $28.50 per hour

• Schedule: Monday – Friday as needed
• Start Time: 2:30 AM - 5:30 AM

• Deliver SOLOTo:200-250 mile radius of Orlando
• Route: Local Home Daily
• Tractor Type: Day Cab
• TrailerType:Flatbed, some oversized loads with expandables
• Requirements:1 year of Flatbed required
• Freight:Load Securement Only – Steel Products

Responsibilities

• This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a commercial vehicle and requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service
• Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records and logs Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
