Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver for local home daily routes in Austin, TX. The role offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and real opportunities for growth within a respected logistics network.

Driver will operate 48'–53' dry van day cabs, with no touch freight on most loads, and must meet the stated experience and regulatory requirements. Training and safety are prioritized in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class A CDL with endorsements.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check (last 3 years).
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• 9 months to 5 years tractor-trailer experience (see criteria).
• Must be able to drive manual transmissions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Detect and minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading if required by customer.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $27.00 Per Hour
• Hours Per Week: 40 or more hours per week
• Sign On Bonus:Pays you $750 at 30 days and $750 at 90 days

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
