Position Description

Immediate opening for a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver at Ryder in Baltimore, MD.

Compensation and Schedule

• Weekly pay: $1900 or more
• Hourly Rate: $35.00
• Hours per week: 50-60
• Mileage reimbursement: $0.70/mile
• Per Diem Pay: $50.00
• Paid training provided
• Schedule: Varies (PM/AM dispatch)

Responsibilities

• Deliver SOLO to Northeast, regional routes
• Operate Sleeper, Day Cabs, and 26' Straight Trucks
• Use Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed trailers (48', 53')
• Handle freight, touch freight varies, no automatic restrictions
• Operate electric and manual pallet jacks
• Train provided on all equipment

Equipment & Maintenance

Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 roadside maintenance, and are fueled at over 800 facilities nationwide.

• Pass Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check
• Pass DOT physical and Ryder road test
• Hold appropriate CDL and endorsements
• Class A experience: 9 months in past 3 years, or 2 years in past 5 years, or 5 years in past 10 years
• Follow instructions and interpret laws/regulations
