Ryder System, Inc. in Richmond, CA is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver for a 40+ hour week with competitive weekly pay, benefits, and growth opportunities.

You will drive between the Western states, with day cab, sleeper, or straight truck options, and may work with dry van, reefer, or flatbed trailers while maintaining safety and compliance across routes.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years within the last 5 years, OR 5 years within the last 10 years
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must be 21+ years old and pass Ryder drug test
• DOT physical and road test required

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules
• Detect and minimize safety hazards and maintain logs
• Load/unload freight as required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $29.00 Per Hour Base Pay Plus Additional $1 for Every 3 Certifications/Endorsements
• Overtime Paid After 40 Hours
• Hours Per Week: 40 + hours per week
• Per Diem Pay: $50.00 per night
• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel or Sleeper
• Paid Travel
• Tenure Bonus: Pays You $1000 each year you are with the company from Nov. 1- to Oct. 31

• Schedule: Monday - Friday - Must be Flexible

Deliver SOLOTo: Western 11 States

• Route: Regional OTR

• Flatbed 6 - 9 months Experience Preferred

• Freight:Combination of Touch and No Touch Freight

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
