Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Baltimore, Maryland is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver to join a regional fleet with weekly pay and strong benefits. The role offers a path to a long and rewarding driving career, with per diem, tenure bonuses, and extensive safety support.

Expect regional runs, day cabs and sleepers, a variety of trailers, and endorsements such as Hazmat and Tanker. Training, 24/7 maintenance support, and company-wide benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Provide Class A CDL with endorsements and pass Ryder drug test and background check.
• Must have valid CDL-A and endorsements for the position.
• Experience requirements: 9 months in past 3 years OR 2 years in past 5 years OR 5 years in past 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules and guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist as required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hourly Pay:$29.00 per hour base pay + bonus pay for endorsements
• Overtime paid after 40 hours
• $50 per diem per night
• Annual tenure bonus: $1000 every year
• Paid Equipment Training
• Schedule:Monday – Friday schedule (flexibility required)

• 1 year of flatbed experience andsafe load securement experience (strapping, tarping, chaining)
• Equipment: Manual Pallet Jack, Rollers, Lift Gate and Moffett
• Freight:Mix of Touch/No Touch
• Endorsements:Hazmat, Tanker & Doubles/Triples Endorsements

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
