Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Odenton, MD is hiring a Class A Truck Driver to join our team, delivering auto parts with a home-daily route and weekly pay. You'll drive day cab tractors, 53' dry vans and 26' box trucks, with paid training and comprehensive benefits after 30 days.

Responsibilities include safe driving, compliance with DOT and company policies, and accurate record keeping. Eligible drivers enjoy PTO from day one, 401(k) with company match, and referral bonuses up to $1,500.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide Class A CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months past 3 years, OR 2 years past 5 years, OR 5 years past 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards. Maintaining accurate records and logs.
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer.
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay:$0.70 (Box) - $0.80 (Dry) per Mile with 1600 Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay:$30.00 (Box) - $75.00 (Dry) per Stop with 5 - 10 Stops per Week
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday - Friday
• Start Time: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

• Deliver SOLOTo: PA, WV, VA, and DE
• Route: Home Daily
• Tractor Type: Day Cab
• TrailerType: Dry Van 53' and 26' Box Truck
• Equipment: Manual Pallet Jack and Lift Gate
