Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Prince George, VA is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver for local home daily routes. Enjoy weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to advance within a national network.

Position offers 40+ hours per week, with start times from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM. Route includes Richmond, VA Beach, NC coverage; equipment includes dry van and flats. Training provided and safety is a priority.

Qualifications

• Must have a Class A CDL with required endorsements.
• 1 year of flatbed experience in last 2 years, or 2+ years in last 5 years, or 5+ years in last 10 years.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Ability to pass Ryder drug test, background, and motor vehicle checks.
• Must pass DOT physical and Ryder road test.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws, regs, and guidelines.
• Detect and mitigate safety hazards, maintain logs and records.
• Load/unload freight as required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hours Per Week: 40+ hours per week
• Solo Miles Pay:$0.71 per Mile with 1300 Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay:$29.22 per Rough Stop and $34.92 Trim Stop
• Loyalty Bonus $3000 half at 6 months and half at 1 year
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, Occasional Saturdays
• Start Time: 5:00 AM - 9:00 AM Dispatch

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
