Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Commerce City, CO is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver. Earn $1,485+ weekly with hourly pay of $27.00, and a 40–60 hour workweek with paid training.

This is a local, home-daily route using a day cab and 48' Conestoga trailer with no-touch freight. Ryder offers medical/dental/vision after 30 days, PTO from day 1 (up to 80 hours first year), uniforms and boot allowance, a 401(k) with company match after 1 year, and 12 weeks maternity leave where eligible.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class A CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Minimum experience: 9 months in past 3 years, or 2 years in past 5, or 5 years in past 10.
• Must pass Ryder drug test and background check in last 3 years.
• Must pass DOT physical and Ryder road test.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws and company policies.
• Maintain logs and accurate records; monitor safety hazards.
• Load/unload freight or assist as required by customer; strap and tarp when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
