6am-6pm (2 days on, 3 days off...)
Pay range - $24.00/hr - $27.50/hr.

Position Summary
The driver at Southern Tier Logistics responsibilities are as follows: pick-up and delivery of freight, safety and maintenance, possible usage of a forklift to move inventory, and other duties assigned by management. The individual is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of company equipment. The individual is expected to maintain a positive attitude that promotes team work within the company and a favorable image of the company.
Individual must have a valid commercial driver's license.
Must have 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience.
Must have the ability to read, write, and preform simple mathematical calculations with mental ability to handle receipts, road maps, road signs, maintain logs, etc.
Must have working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems.
Individual must have a respectable driving record.
Must meet or exceed the medical standard of the U.S. Department of Transportation.
Public Safety and Security- knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, and/or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
Knowledge on DOT regulations governing safe driving, HOS, inspection and maintenance.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Ensuring that deliveries and pick-ups are made in the most efficient, economical manner possible.
Deliver product to and pick up product from specified locations.
Hook and unhook trailers from tractor - cranking lever to raise and lower landing gear
Inspect equipment for defects and operating condition before, during and after trips -complete a thorough pre and post trip.
Develop and maintain an efficient routing system.
Maintain clean equipment.
Professional representation of the company and trucking industry.
Reporting-Submitting daily trip reports in an accurate and timely manner.
Ensure BOLs are signed and delivered
Safety and Maintenance - involves delivering orders safely, following regulations, and safely operation and maintaining equipment.
Observe OHSA, state, and federal safety regulations.
Follow all company and regulatory agency safety policies.
Maintain a valid commercial driver's license.
Report all accidents involving driver and/or equipment immediately upon occurrence.
Promptly report any delays, breakdowns, weather and/or traffic conditions, or other emergencies to dispatch.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Occasional evening and weekend duties, ability to multi task and handle crisis situations in a calm and effective manner.
Occasional over the road runs which may require a driver to stay out for 1-2 nights with notice.
Driver may be subject to irregular work schedule(s)
25%-50% of the time spent will be outdoors. Exposure to potentially difficult environmental conditions.
Standing with walking is required for most of the shift.
Driver will be required to walk the length of the tractor/trailer.
Minor lifting of product.
Driver will be required to open and shut trailer doors.
Driver will have to crank trailer dolly's frequently during the day.
Occasional climbing, crouching, kneeling.
Driver will be required to climb in and out of the truck frequently during the day.
