Job summary

Case Farms in Dudley, NC is hiring a CDL Class A driver to join our poultry team. The role requires a valid Class A CDL with at least 1 year of verifiable driving and a solid knowledge of DOT regulations.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, assist with loading and unloading, and maintain the truck in clean, safe condition. You must be able to read and write legibly, work unsupervised, and handle basic math.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class A CDL with 1 year of verifiable driving record.
• Knowledge of DOT, state and federal laws.
• Able to read and write legibly.
• Previous live poultry tractor-trailer driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all DOT regulations.
• Perform and document pre-trip inspection (tires, oil, fuel, lights, brakes, hoses, etc.).
• Assist with loading and unloading trailer as necessary.
• Clean and wash truck as necessary.
• Report truck and equipment maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Comply with all DOT safety rules and regulations, all company policies, and local, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A CDL with 1-year verifiable satisfactory driving record.
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation, State and Federal Laws.
• Ability to read and write legibly.
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
• Sound work ethic, honesty, and moral character.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous live poultry tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Basic math functions and skills.
• Follow Department of Transportation, State and Federal laws, and company safety policies and programs.
• Wear assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Sit and drive for up to 10 hours, and climb in and out of the truck cab throughout the shift.

• Work nights, weekends, holidays, and long shifts.
