Job summary

Penske Logistics seeks full-time Apprentice Class A CDL Truck Drivers in New York. Earn $26.00 per hour with overtime after 40 hours until the apprentice program completes. Coil endorsement required. Home daily on a 5-day schedule with nights and weekends.

You’ll drive late-model Penske Truck Leasing trucks and receive a comprehensive benefits package. Qualifications include graduation from a Penske approved CDL School or U.S. Armed Forces service, valid Class A CDL, U.S.

Qualifications

• Must be a Penske CDL School graduate or a current/former member of the US Armed Forces.
• Valid Class A CDL; domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in state of residence.
• DOT medical card required; background and drug screening per policy.

• Deliver aluminum scrap and coils for a world leader in rolled aluminum products.
• Home daily; 5-day work week; nights and weekends as scheduled.

Qualifications:

Must be a graduate of a Penske approved CDL School (CDL 160, Ivy Tech, Truck Drivers Institute, New England Tractor Trailer Training School), or a current or former member of the US Armed Forces

Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence

Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required

3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents

Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines

In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency

Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.

This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
