Truck Driver and Product Deliver/Trainer - Versatran

Job Overview

Under the direction of Versatran Product Sales, the Versatran Truck Driver transports finished trucks to and from the customer throughout the United States. The position involves moving vehicles for DOT inspections, conducting sales demonstrations with the sales team, and delivering completed units to customer locations.

Responsibilities

• Manage routes efficiently to meet transportation schedules.
• Serve as a brand ambassador during interactions with clients and the public.
• Inspect vehicles prior to movement and report issues.
• Comply with all DOT and company regulations.
• Drive according to size, weight, route, and safety regulations.
• Position trucks for loading/unloading.
• Verify delivery instructions.
• Conduct customer training during deliveries and answer basic questions.
• Report defects, accidents, or violations.
• Report mechanical failures immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current CDL license in WI.
• At least 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic equipment (GPS, AVL, CB radios).
• Ability to drive long distances and travel for deliveries and training.
• Knowledge of truck driving rules and regulations.
• Adaptability to handle unexpected situations.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Effective communication skills.
• Self-motivated and team-oriented.
• Attention to detail and quality.
• No recent driving violations or serious tickets/accidents in the past 5 years.
• No DWI/DUI in the last 5 years.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical and assembly experience (2+ years).
• Strong math skills and measurement conversion.
• Experience with power and hand tools.
• Mechanical aptitude.

Physical Demands

Lift/carry up to 25 lbs routinely and 55 lbs occasionally; push/pull similar weights; occasional overhead reaching; ability to climb, squat, bend, kneel, sit, stand, and walk as needed during shifts.
