Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Greater Chattanooga Area is seeking a CDL A driver to ensure safe and timely delivery of donated goods between ADCs, stores, and the distribution center in the Chattanooga area. This full-time role requires a valid CDL Class A license, DOT physical, and a clean motor vehicle report.

You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain accurate logs, and follow FMCSA and safety guidelines while supporting the mission of Chattanooga Goodwill.

Qualifications

  • Valid CDL Class A license required.
  • DOT physical required and MVR must be good.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Professional driving experience preferred (DOT-certified).

Responsibilities

  • Operate semi-trucks/box trucks between ADC sites, stores, and the distribution center.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues promptly.
  • Keep vehicle clean and follow safety policies; no food, drink, or personal electronics while driving.
  • Load/unload merchandise safely and ensure secure placement.
  • Maintain logs, inspections, and paperwork daily; follow schedules.
  • Attend to shifting schedules and support the organization’s mission.

This movement is usually between the ADC’s, stores and Distribution Center, but may include other locations as neededJob Functions/ CompetenciesThrough words and actions support Chattanooga Goodwill’s Mission, Vision, and Values; furthermore, actions and decisions will align with organizational guiding principles.Maintain agency, employee, and participants confidentiality.
