Job summary

Salvation Army Wilson Family Store in Wilson, NC is seeking a Full Time Regular Donation Driver to operate the Salvation Army truck on scheduled routes, pick up donations, and deliver merchandise to customers.

This role requires loading/unloading, lifting, and assisting in the family store and warehouse when routes are light; a valid state driver's license is required and you should have a responsible approach to safety and inventory.

Qualifications

• HS diploma preferred but not required.
• 1 year experience driving a heavy-duty truck or large van, or Box Truck.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Valid State Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Drives Salvation Army Truck along scheduled route to pick-up donations and/or deliver merchandise to customers.
• Operates the truck in compliance with established Salvation Army standards and state driving regulations.
• Lifts, carries, loads and unloads variety of donations including furniture, appliances, clothing, etc.
• Assists in performing work in the family store and warehouse wherever needed when Donation Pickups are not scheduled.

This includes hanging, sorting, pricing clothing and household items, etc.

• One (1) year experience driving a heavy-duty truck or large van, or Box Truck
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
