Standard Textile in Union, South Carolina seeks a reliable Yard Jockey with a valid CDL A to move trailers and containers around the yard and loading docks. You will inspect equipment, secure trailers, and coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• Safely move trailers/containers in yard and loading docks.
• Perform daily inspections of yard tractors and trailers.

• Secure trailers by setting brakes and chocking wheels.
• Maintain a clean, organized yard and report issues immediately.
• Assist with light maintenance and equipment cleanliness.
• Follow all safety procedures and participate in distribution tasks as needed (forklift, loading/unloading, pallet placement).

This position does not require driving on public roads, as all duties are performed on company property.The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to efficiently maneuver trailers in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities include:Safely move trailers and containers around the yard and loading docks, ensuring they are properly positioned for loading and unloading.Perform daily inspections of yard tractors and trailers to ensure they are in safe and operational condition.Coordinate with warehouse and dock personnel to manage trailer locations and availability.Secure trailers by setting the parking brakes, chocking wheels, and ensuring proper placement.Maintain a clean and organized yard, ensuring trailers and equipment are stored properly and safely.Report any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or damage to the supervisor immediately.Assist with light maintenance tasks as needed, such as checking fluid levels and ensuring equipment cleanliness.Follow all company safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe work environment.Participate in distribution responsibilities as assigned when yard responsibilities have been completed.
