Job summary

Bonipak is seeking an experienced Truck Driver – Class A OTR to join our Transportation team in the Santa Maria, CA area with routes to the Six Western States. This role involves safe operation of commercial trucks, coordination with dispatch, and strict adherence to DOT and CV regulations.

The position requires a Class A CDL, 2+ years of driving, and experience in refrigerated deliveries. Competitive compensation with benefits is offered; occasional overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A CDL and at least 2 years of Class A driving experience.
• 1 year of refrigerated delivery experience.
• Clean DMV record and ability to pass a DOT drug screen.
• No DUI in past 7 years and clean background check.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of assigned truck across the six western states.
• Communicate and coordinate with dispatchers.
• Follow all traffic laws and CV regulations.
• Complete pre-trip, enroute, and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain electronic logs per regulations.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Perform daily truck maintenance and fuel/clean duties.
• Interact professionally with customers.
• Verify loads and paperwork for accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Safe operation of your assigned truck, operating in the six western states
• Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers
• Obeying, complying with, and following all applicable traffic laws and commercial vehicle regulations
• Complete pre-trip, enroute, and post-trip inspections to ensure any mechanical issues within the vehicle are communicated before driving
• Maintaining your electronic logbook in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Planning routes and meeting delivery schedule
• Performing daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning etc.)
• Interacting with customers in a professional manner
• Verifying loads and paperwork for accuracy

Requirements

• Must be at least 23 years or older
• Clean DMV report
• Pass a DOT drug screen
