Job summary

Coilplus, Inc. in Ohio is seeking a CDL delivery driver to transport customer-ordered steel from our plant to various destinations. You will operate flatbed equipment and ensure loads are secured and compliant with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CDL license required and any DOT certifications as required by law.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced, team-oriented warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Check, secure, and protect steel loads.
• Deliver orders to customers using Coilplus tractor-trailer flatbed equipment.
• Obtain signatures on delivery paperwork or handheld device.
• Maintain a clean work area and dispose of scrap properly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsible for delivering customer-ordered material from a plant/warehouse location to the appropriate destination. The driver may be responsible for collecting material from designated vendors and suppliers and returning material to plant/warehouse location. Required to follow all company and federal safety regulations.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Responsible for checking, securing, and protecting steel loads.

Delivers orders to customers using Coilplus tractor-trailer flatbed equipment.

Obtains proper signatures on delivery paperwork and/or handheld device.

Maintain a clean work environment by keeping work area free of trash and scrap.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Basic reading and writing comprehension in English (to read work order instructions, safety, and policy manuals). Ability to read a tape measure.
• Basic computer skills.
• Proficient in basic math skills and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow and give instructions.
• Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Ability to work closely with others in a team environment.

Experience & Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• CDL license required, and all other certifications required by law (DOT, etc.)
