Job Summary:
The Class A Truck Driver is responsible for performing a variety of routine and complex transportation tasks while driving and coordinating transportation plans. This position requires the ability to operate tractors with trailers.
Major Job Responsibilities/Duties:
Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to the company's safety plan.
Review the daily schedule to ensure the accuracy of supply needs and routing.
Ensure that all daily supplies are loaded onto the vehicle before departing from the dock.
Communicate with the logistics department at the end of each stop on the scheduled route.
Complete the daily drive route sheet.
Conduct daily vehicle inspections.
Fuel the vehicle and submit the corresponding receipts to the logistics manager.
Job Qualifications:
Must possess a valid Class A Driver's License.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Preferred minimum of 3 years of experience driving tractor-trailers (such as dump trailers, flatbeds, or van trailers) or roll-off trucks (straight job or articulated trailer).
Must possess a current and clean motor vehicle report.
Must be able to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
Must pass DOT physical and drug testing requirements.
Must understand basic DOT regulations.
