Our St. Louis Truck Drivers start at $22.48/hr and can earn up to $28.93 within 15 months!

Position Summary

Perform duties required to load and drive a truck to transport materials to and from specified locations.

Essential Functions

• Operate company truck to pick up and deliver customer parts, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and local roads.
• Check ship tickets and materials for delivery, determine pickup and delivery schedules, and set up paperwork by consulting with relevant personnel.
• Plan travel routes for the shortest and most efficient path.
• Pack, weigh, label, and load customer parts in an organized manner using a forklift.
• Organize paperwork upon return, separating delivery receipts and obtaining signatures.
• Maintain accurate records of truck maintenance, inspect the vehicle, and complete inspection checklists to ensure proper operation.
• Use a forklift to load and unload customer parts.
• Assess the condition of customer parts before delivery and seek clarification for items needing it, ensuring only ready-to-deliver parts are loaded and correct parts are delivered.
• Obtain a physical examination in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Communicate Paulo's needs and customer requirements courteously and professionally.
• Assist with shipping duties as directed.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.

Experience

• At least three months in a similar or related position.

Licenses/Certifications

• Class B Commercial Driver's License with manual transmission and air brakes endorsement.
• Must pass DOT clearinghouse background check and physical.
• Medical Certificate.
• Ability to obtain Forklift Certification.
