Job summary

Boise Cascade Company is seeking a full-time Truck Driver to deliver building products to assigned customers in Grand Junction, CO. You will ensure safe loading, transportation, and handling of materials, maintain DOT-compliant logs, and uphold safety and quality standards on every trip.

Required are a HS Diploma or GED, at least two years of truck driving experience, and a valid Class A CDL with knowledge of DOT regulations. Flatbed experience and forklift familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED or two years of equivalent work experience.
• Valid Class A CDL and ability to safely operate tractor/trailer.
• Two years truck driving experience required.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations and BC driver qualifications.
• Flatbed experience preferred; forklift knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and distribute building products to assigned customers.
• Ensure safe loading, handling, and transportation of materials and heavy cargo.
• Drive truck to destination applying commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle in difficult situations.
• Complete necessary paper work and relay any customer questions or complaints to supervisor.
• Inspect truck for defects or problems before and after trips and submit reports indicating truck condition.
• Maintain vehicle in safe operating condition including service with fuel, oil, and water.
• Maintain logs and records according to DOT regulations.
• Assist associates in loading and unloading trucks or building loads as needed.
• Secure cargo for transit.
• Maintain a clean truck.
• Maintain good housekeeping in work area.
• Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: HS Diploma, GED or two (2) years equivalent work experience. Must have a valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) and possess the ability to safely operate transportation equipment (i.e., tractor/trailer combinations). Two (2) years truck driving experience required. Must have working knowledge of DOT regulations and meet BC driver qualifications. Performs duties in all weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications: Flatbed experience preferred. Knowledge of building products and forklift experience a plus.
