Job summary

Griffin Trailer in Elkhart, IN is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to join our local team. This full-time role offers a local schedule with no overnight travel, home every night, and routes that keep you close to town while delivering assembled dump trailers to our paint facility and returning finished trailers to the plant.

You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, comply with DOT rules, and maintain a safe driving record.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and road test.
• 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks on a truck and trailer.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company pickup truck with gooseneck trailer.
• Safely operate an International flatbed truck with trailer.
• Deliver assembled dump trailers to paint facility and return finished trailers to main plant (approximately a 10-mile round trip with multiple trips each day).
• Transport parts between nearby facilities, all located within approximately one mile of each other.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Ability to perform physical job duties, including: climbing ladders, cranking landing gear, securing loads with straps, changing tires, lifting 25 pounds or more.

Pay

• Starting Pay: $22.00–$24.00 per hour (based on experience)
