JOB TITLE: DRIVER
REPORTS TO: Warehouse/Equipment Manager, Other Supervisors as Assigned
PAY RANGE: $22.00-$32.00 Hourly (DOE)
Summary of position: Position performs routine physical labor; moving materials, tools, and/or equipment; maintain clean work environment, operate motor vehicles and other machinery used in the moving of supplies and equipment to and from job sites. May be required to perform additional duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor for the completion of the job in a safe and timely manner.
Essential Job Requirements: Provides excellent customer service to internal personnel, customers, and/or vendors.
Transportation duties: Forklift equipment/materials on/off trailers or flatbeds. Properly strap down, or chain down equipment/materials to trailer or flatbed. Transport materials to/from IMIA jobsites in a safe and professional manner. Take initiative with forklift and crane operators on jobsites to ensure the materials get to the proper IMIA personnel. Responsible for keeping the interior and exterior of trucks/flatbeds clean.
Warehouse/Lay Down Yard Duties: Ensure that the warehouse, yard, and any outside storage areas are organized and clean. Update inventory lists of any equipment or consumables that are taken out of IMIA property and delivered to jobsites and provide to supervisors daily. Help with light maintenance of equipment, as needed. Receive materials and equipment from incoming trucks and stage appropriately for delivery to jobsites, or store appropriately if they are staying in IMIA’s warehouse or yard.
Pre-Mobilization Duties: Work with supervisor to determine what is needed on new jobsites, and timeline for mobilization for equipment and supplies. Organize tool rooms or Conex boxes that will go on the jobsites with materials required for jobs, as needed. Ensure equipment being sent has a checklist completed to ensure it is working properly and ready for the specific jobsite requirements. Provide checklist to supervisor.
De-Mobilization Duties: Organize equipment and materials are brought back from jobsites. Provide inventory of returned equipment and materials and provide to supervisor. Tag-out all equipment that is returned for inspection/service.
Safely operate man lifts, forklifts, and other industrial equipment to move needed materials and accomplish work. All the above shall be performed in a safe and timely manner. Must use problem solving skills.
Required Education: None
Required Experience: Former driver/delivery duties are preferred but not required.
Required Skills: Must be able to cooperate and work well with other employees and shipyard personnel. Must be able to take direction from supervisors and other members of the workforce.
Physical Requirements: Regularly required to walk; frequently required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, or crawl at various heights and in confined spaces; occasionally required to sit; required to reach with hands and arms, use hands to feel, grip, or handle; regularly required to safely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; required use of vision to see up close, distance, and peripherally, as well as depth perception and ability to adjust focus in low light conditions. May be required to wear a respirator to safely perform assigned tasks.
Aptitude Requirements: Must be able to carry out simple to complex instructions in a safe and efficient manner.

Equipment Used: Forklifts, Manlifts, trucks, and other vehicles used in the transportation of personnel and equipment. Items listed are a representative sample but not an all-inclusive list.
Working Conditions: Repetitive, physical work. Regularly exposed to dusty conditions, extreme temperatures, high noise level, chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, ambient weather conditions, hazardous machinery, proximity to other employees. Often works on scaffolds and ladders for periods of time. To avoid injury, safety clothing required along with safety devices to protect eyes, head, or hearing is required. Shift work and overtime involved at high production times. Travel may be required.
Driving Credentials: Must present appropriate state driver license. May be required to obtain CDL based on future needs of the company.
