Job summary

NOV is seeking a professional CDL driver to transport oversized loads across destinations in and around Texas with extended travel. You will verify cargo, assist with loading/unloading, and perform truck and trailer safety checks while keeping meticulous logs and expense records.

The role requires 3 years of relevant experience, a valid CDL, and the ability to travel up to 90%. Practical crane operation and equipment handling support are part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid CDL license.
• Three years’ experience transporting and securing oversized loads.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Transport oversized loads to and from specified destinations.
• Verify truck load to ensure conformance with shipping requirements.
• Help load, unload and move products and materials.
• Perform operation, maintenance and safety checks on trucks and trailers.
• Collect documents for goods received and delivered.
• Complete driving logbooks when not operating an ELD mandated unit.
• General housekeeping of vehicle.
• Complete expense reports monthly for company credit card funds.
• Operate deployment equipment for field jobs.
• Maintain truck maintenance schedules.
• Maintain records for all trailers.
• Order permits and escorts as required to destinations.
• Comply with NOV Company policies, HSE, and Quality procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to travel 90% of the time
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or control; talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must have valid CDL License
