• Follow all safety regulations and standards regarding size, weight, and break periods.
• Receive cargo, park in appropriate docks, track mileage, document schedules, inventory deliveries, confirmations, and manifests.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections prior to operating the vehicle.
• Perform end-of-day inspections, including fueling and cleaning the vehicle.
• Report mechanical issues to the manager.
• Plan routes to ensure timely deliveries.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Able to operate a forklift.
• Build positive relationships with customers.
• Maintain electronic logging devices (ELD).
• Ensure cargo is loaded, unloaded, and secured properly and safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with two years of professional driving experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD).
• Ability to operate 1-ton, 10-ton, 12-ton trucks.
• Class B CDL with air brake endorsement or ability to obtain one.
• Current DOT Medical Card.
• Basic computer skills.
• Shipping/Receiving experience.

Physical Demands

• Frequently lift/move items up to 75 pounds.
• Use grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation skills.
• Work nights, weekends, extended hours, and holidays as needed.
• Wear all required PPE.
