Job summary

J&J Truck Bodies and Trailers in Cumberland, MD is seeking experienced truck body installers to prepare chassis, cut, weld, and modify as required, install wiring and hydraulic components, lift axles, plow hoists and body hoists, and related systems. Workers will also install pneumatic components and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Candidates should have vocational/technical training or a high school diploma, plus work experience in an industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in an industrial shop setting preferred.
• Ability to perform basic shop math.

Responsibilities

• Check driveshaft clearance.
• Ensure proper routing of airlines.
• Modify and prepare chassis as required by the work order.
• Install wiring and electrical components.
• Install pneumatic controls and components.
• Install hydraulic controls and components.
• Install plow lifts and hoists.
• Install lift axles.
• Install body hoists and hoist cylinders.
• Safely perform duties; wear PPE as required.
• Observe and comply with ISO 9001 QMS.

J&J Truck Bodies and Trailers is looking for experienced truck body installers at our Cumberland, MD shop who will prepare chassis to receive bodies, cut, weld, and modify chassis as required, install wiring and electrical components, hydraulic system components; install lift axles; installs plow hoists, body hoists and hydraulic cylinders, pneumatic components and controls, and similar tasks. Performs similar tasks on trailers.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following

• Check driveshaft clearance

• Competent in basic shop math
• Modify and prepare chassis as required by the work order.
• Install wiring and electrical components.
• Install pneumatic controls and components.
• Install hydraulic controls and components.
• Install plow lifts and hoists.
• Install lift axles.
• Install body hoists and hoist cylinder(s)
• Safely perform duties; wear always required PPE
• Observes and complies with all provisions of the ISO 9001 QMS

Education And Experience

Vocational/technical training needed or a high school diploma or general education degree with work experience in an industrial setting.
