Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc. is seeking an assembler to mass-produce seat products for heavy-duty trucks. The role requires following detailed work instructions and assembling seat bases, arms, backs, and headrests using a variety of hand tools and basic power equipment.
The position emphasizes teamwork, quality awareness, and adherence to safety rules as part of a single shift. Associates may participate in cross-training and on-the-job learning to support consistent production.
An assembler performs repetitive line assembly operations to mass-produce seat products for the heavy-duty truck industry by performing the following duties.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. One to three months related experience and/or training and a stable work history.
Associate should have the ability to read a limited number of two and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Must have the ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Associate should be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions and administer the ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables should the need arise.
Some computer skills may be required depending on the job they are placed in. Some positions require the knowledge of the AS400 computer software system.
