About the Role

US Foods is seeking students in the Troops 2 Transportation program to become drivers. This full-time position offers benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, and more. Our company values safety, training, and internal promotion.

Main Responsibilities

• Safely operate trucks to deliver products to customers on schedule.
• Unload products carefully using appropriate equipment and place them in designated areas.
• Verify deliveries with customers and obtain signatures.
• Handle collections and payments when applicable.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

Physical Requirements

• Lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. repeatedly during shifts.
• Work in various weather conditions with frequent stops.

Qualifications

• Register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Hold a valid CDL Class A with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• Have at least six months of commercial driving experience, or three months in food/beverage delivery.
• Ability to operate manual transmission preferred.
• English language proficiency for communication and record-keeping.
