Job summary

The Oregon State Police is hiring for multiple Full-Time, Permanent OSP Trooper positions for coastal offices. Successful candidates will be assigned a duty station in Oregon upon receiving a conditional job offer.

Eligibility includes U.S. citizenship requirements, a high school diploma, 21 years of age by start date, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass medical, physical, background, and credit checks. Relocation reimbursement may be offered for Gold Beach.

Qualifications

  • Be a United States Citizen by birth or naturalized citizen, or able to attain citizenship within 18 months of hire.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Applicants must be 21 years old on first day of employment
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Meet medical and physical requirements, and pass background, credit, and criminal history checks
  • Be in good health and of good moral character
  • Must work at assigned duty station for 2 years once solo status is reached

Responsibilities

  • Troopers perform a wide variety of public safety services across the state, including rural and metropolitan areas.
  • Operate a variety of patrol vehicles and equipment as needed.
  • Relocation to assigned duty stations may be required based on operational need.
