Job summary

The Oregon State Police is hiring for multiple Full-Time, permanent OSP Trooper positions for coastal offices, including lateral and entry level tracks.

Qualifications

• Be a United States Citizen by birth or naturalized; able to attain citizenship within 18 months of hire.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants must be 21 years old on the first day of employment.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Meet all medical and physical requirements, and pass background checks.
• Be in good health and of good moral character with attributes like empathy, courage, fortitude, honesty, loyalty.
• Must work at assigned duty station for 2 years once solo status is reached.

Responsibilities

• Provide public safety services and enforce laws across Oregon.
• Support a variety of duty assignments from rural to coastal areas; adapt to diverse environments.
• Participate in a multi-step recruitment process and complete required testing and interviews.
