Job description

We're seeking someone to join our team as a Director in Financing Resource Management (FRM) to play a key role in daily funding and collateral processes from a day to day perspective, exception management and control execution, while supporting broader risk, audit, and process improvement initiatives.

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships.

This is a Director, Team Specialist position at the P3 level within the Product Support & Services, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processes.

What You’ll Do In The Role
  • Manage day to day processes as it relates to the funding and collateralization of the firm's obligations
  • Serve as a key point of contact for the team in terms of break and ad hoc issue resolution
  • Manage direct reports, leading 1:1s and career development, attracting and retaining high quality talent in line with our leadership commitments
  • Drive process improvement and system renovation with a ground up approach
  • Review resources to ensure adequate coverage to deliver BAU commitments, highlighting current and future needs to manager
What You’ll Bring To The Role
  • Familiarity and experience with triparty funding, Repo trade flows, cash and collateral settlement methodologies
  • Ability to lead by example, work with drive and determination, adapt management style to suit individuals and ensure team is well supported with a sense of purpose
  • Prepared to challenge the status quo, raise concerns and/or needs of their team members
  • Ability to pitch communication appropriately according to the audience and demonstrate active listening skills
  • Culture carrier across Operations, embracing the Firm's core values and acting as a role model
  • Must obtain Series 99 license if supervising a covered function
  • At least 5 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role

Expected base pay rates for the role will be $82,000.00-$133,000.00 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
