Job summary

Riggs Cat is seeking a skilled GPS/machine control specialist to operate in a blended office and field role. You will advise on Trimble/Cat technology, train clients on multiple platforms, and collaborate with manufacturer reps to resolve issues.

The position involves site visits, demos, and supporting sales with technical recommendations. A strong customer-service mindset and travel up to 1–5 nights per month are required.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of GPS/machine control experience (Trimble preferred).
• Strong understanding of construction processes and jobsite workflows.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical documentation.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical systems related to construction technology.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving and customer service abilities.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Trimble/Cat technology expert for on- and off-machine software, office and cloud solutions.
• Provide client training on TBC, WorksManager, WorksOS, SiteWorks, EarthWorks, Cat Grade, VisionLink Production and related platforms.
• Support customers with setup, troubleshooting, and optimization of software and machine tech.
• Act as primary technical liaison with manufacturer reps to resolve issues.
• Support sales through demos, solution recommendations, quote review, and consulting.
• Communicate technical issues and improvements to SITECH/Riggs management.
