PharmaCann, Inc. owns and operates best-in-class production facilities and retail dispensaries for cannabis-based products. We currently operate in the States of Illinois, New York, Massachusetts, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Colorado and Michigan as a medical and/or adult use cannabis provider to patients and customers. The Post Harvest (Trim) Technician is responsible for a variety of different tasks that prepare the product for the next phase of processing. This position will be responsible for effectively communicating with the Trim Supervisors, and fellow team members to achieve all daily tasks. The focus of the Processor is to meet daily productivity goals, and ensure a quality product while maintaining all compliance requirements. The Processor is expected to follow all standard operating procedures, take direction from supervisors and management, as well as operate under the highest standards of compliance and professionalism.

Pay for this role is $18.81/hour

  • Take instructions and follow direction as delegated by supervisors and management to meet daily and weekly, individual and team production and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Work in a timely manner and strive to increase productivity.
  • Maintain a culture of professionalism.
  • Confirm that each plant is tagged, that the tag has the appropriate information, and is marked with the designated trimmer number.
  • Follow standard operating procedures including but not limited to: methods of trimming, proper sequencing and tools, proper handling of plants, product, and waste materials.
  • Other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to assisting other departments to help facilitate the additional and/or supplemental work such as post trim, harvesting, packaging, farm, cure, cleaning, and light maintenance as needed throughout the facility.

Workspace and Material Maintenance

  • Ensure organization and cleanliness of immediate work stations.
  • Ensure the organization and cleanliness of the Trim production area.
  • Contribute to daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning and general maintenance.
  • Perform regular cleaning and maintenance on work surfaces, tools, and related equipment (scissors, tubs, tables, floors etc.).

Compliance

  • Ensure that workflow and work procedures are followed.
  • Ensure data and processing integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with all Local, State, and Federal regulations.
  • Adhere to all work safety requirements including, but not limited to: lifting, bending, etc.
  • Ensure cleanliness of all areas in the garden.
  • Maintain a positive attitude that creates a positive work environment.
  • Keep doors closed when not in use.
  • Wear protective clothing, hairnets, and beard nets when working with plants, and product.
  • Before exiting the facility remove protective clothing and ensure that there is no cannabis on your person.

Supervision

  • Works under the direct supervision of the Manager of Trim and Trim Supervisors.
  • This person may be instructed to guide and train but does not supervise or discipline others.
  • Must maintain a positive attitude with coworkers and superiors alike, to support a positive work environment.
  • Communication, flexibility, and diligence are expected in order to meet all production goals.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality, as well as reliability to contribute to achieving production goals.
  • Focus and dedication to the task at hand.
  • Work schedule is Mon-Thurs 7:30 AM - 6:15 PM. This shift has the potential to run late. You are expected to stay until the job is completed daily.

Work Experience

  • One and a half years of work experience in a related industry or work environment.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced production or warehouse environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet productivity and performance requirements.
  • Demonstrates high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates professional and respectful demeanor towards others.
  • Demonstrates oral and communication capability.
  • Knowledge and background in trimming preferred.
  • Must be able to secure appropriate work credentials from the Colorado Department of Revenue, MED.

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Working Conditions

  • Able to use a computer and/or hand tools while sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
  • Able to move about a typical office, manufacturing and warehouse environment.
  • Able to kneel, bend, reach, rotate, and stoop on an intermittent to regular basis daily.
  • Able to lift and move up to 35 pounds occasionally.
  • Occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required.
