Constructs aircraft interior and structure parts such as bin doors and ceiling panels by trimming the parts using hand tools such as routers, drills, etc., following manufacturing orders, company, and customer specifications. Must possess strong attention to detail and the ability to read and understand manufacturing orders.

Job Requirements

Level 3 Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: 3+ years in aerospace manufacturing or equivalent preferred

Computer Skills: Ability to use Microsoft Office products

Description: Mid-level position within the field

Other Skills:

  1. Must have thorough experience and knowledge to operate machinery and various pneumatic and hand tools
  2. Must be independently proficient in at least 8-10 trim operator specializations, i.e., stringers, splices, band saw and/or sanding parts, channels, cauls, and actuators
  3. Performs work under limited supervision with some latitude for independent judgment
  4. Ability to lead daily meetings and provide continuous improvement suggestions
  5. Requires experience within discipline and solid working knowledge of subject matter
  6. Handles complex issues, escalates more complex issues to supervisor
  7. Ability to read and write English at a comprehensive level necessary for successful job performance
  8. Good hand/eye coordination is a must
  9. Works with junior staff to train on processes and procedures
  10. Position requires forklift certification
