Job description

Position: Trim Press Operator

Pay: Starting $19+ hourly compensation based on experience and qualifications. Plus $1/hour shift premium after probationary period.

Work Schedule: 2nd shift Monday-Friday; 3pm – 11pm plus overtime as scheduled

Reports to: 2nd shift Production Supervisor

As a Trim Press Operator, you will be joining a dynamic team at a growing manufacturing company as one of the most critical production roles at the business. You will be responsible for the operation of mechanical or hydraulic trim press machinery to remove parting line flash from brass and aluminum castings. This is a hands-on, fast paced shop floor position. Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Place castings onto the trim die in the press and remove them after the machine cycle.
  • Keep trim dies clean and lubricated.
  • Utilize the safety equipment such as hand straps and pull bars.
  • Inspect and gage parts and record results on work reports.
  • Read and follow process flow documents and work instructions.

A successful candidate should have some prior manufacturing experience in a factory environment. Die casting or foundry experience a plus but not required. You will be standing, lifting, and working in varying temperatures. Attention to quality and following work instructions is very important. The candidate must be willing to learn, follow the directions of a supervisor, and work cooperatively with other team members. A positive attitude and regular and punctual attendance is required. Safety is our #1 priority.
