The Columbia River Inter-Tribal Police Department (CRITPD) in Hood River, Oregon is seeking a Lateral Police Officer to join the team. In this in-person role, you will patrol zones along the Columbia River and support Tribal members and communities.

Applicants should have 1–3 years sworn LE experience and must have completed a Basic Training Police Academy. A Zone 6 residence, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check are required.

Qualificações

• One to three years of sworn law enforcement experience.
• Must have completed a Basic Training Police Academy.
• Residence within Zone 6 with defined distance limits.
• Able to pass background investigation and meet moral fitness standards.

Responsabilidades

• Enforce tribal fishing regulations and provide law enforcement along the Columbia River.
• Investigate incidents, issue warnings/citations, and prepare cases for court.
• Operate boats, vehicles, firearms, radios and other equipment safely.
• Deescalate tense situations through calm, respectful communication.
• Collaborate as a strong team member with fellow officers.
