Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary point of contact for Enrollment staff.
  • Stay updated on tribal partner promotions, discounts and scholarships for tribal students.
  • Accurately note student records to reflect current and next steps in tribal processes.
  • Support tribal retention strategies and travel to tribal conferences or events as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

About The Position

A Tribal Operations Specialist is a primary contact for all students and Enrollment staff regarding tribal employer service agreements, tribal scholarship funding and all resources related to services and benefits available to University of Phoenix Tribal affiliated students. An individual assists new and current tribal students with enrollment and funding processes and coordinates with internal teams to assist tribal students with unique circumstances. A Tribal Operations Specialist maintains accurate and timely student records to ensure other University employees have needed information regarding Tribal students and their progression.

What You'll Do
  • Assist new and/or current students with tribal enrollment and/or funding processes, including all steps required for tribal clearance, in accordance with Tribal Operations Policies and tribal requirements; ensure timely completion to meet tribal deadlines. Collaborate with non-traditional teams such as Re-Entry, Alumni, Single Course and Military to process tribal benefits with unique circumstances.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for Enrollment staff to ensure efficient, accurate and timely processing of all required activities for both student and enrollment representatives.
  • Remain current on all business and tribal partnership promotions, discounts and scholarships that are available to tribal students to ensure students maximize their potential benefits.
  • Accurately notate student record to reflect the current and next steps as the student moves through the tribal process, allowing others to follow student progression with little or no firsthand knowledge of the tribal process.
  • Consistently implement daily and weekly processes related to the Tribal Retention Strategy that mitigates potential education barriers. Be able to travel as needed to attend Tribal conferences, tradeshows and college fairs for business development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.

Minimum Education And Related Work Experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three (3) years of experience in higher education or tribal scholarship processing
Additionalqualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Strong computer skills including intermediate knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Advanced knowledge of systems and processes related to tribal scholarship funding
  • Exceptional organization, excellent written and verbal communication skills, timely follow up and superior customer service skills necessary to process tribal student accounts accurately
  • Ability to collect, analyze and interpret data, including policies and procedures, to troubleshoot and solve potential issues related to tribal funding and benefits
  • Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced team environment with strong interpersonal and communication skills
