Position: Administrative Assistant

Supervisor: Maintenance Manager/Assistant Manager

Division: Tribal Reservation Services Administration

Department: Tribal Maintenance

Responsibilities:

Operates a switchboard and relays incoming, outgoing and interoffice calls. Greets and directs incoming visitors in a courteous manner; work contacts include administrators, staff and the public. Must ensure efficient and professional processing of all assigned responsibilities and be able to use independent judgment as it pertains to administrative functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Promptly answer all incoming calls with proper telephone etiquette: sound professional, credible, pleasant and sincere.
  • Assist on the preparation, monitoring and management of department budget.
  • Support the department on acquiring quotes and inputting requisitions.
  • Assist on the preparation of check requests.
  • Greet incoming visitors, receive incoming packages and deliveries.
  • Respond to questions from the public and provide courteous and friendly service.
  • Perform clerical duties such as typing, proofreading, and filing.
  • Respond to questions from other departments and the public and provide courteous and friendly service.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Education/Experience Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications: One year of work-related skill, knowledge or experience.
