Job summary

Great Lakes Inter-Tribal Council, a nonprofit organization serving Wisconsin tribes, seeks an IRB Program Coordinator to establish, administer, coordinate and oversee tribal IRB projects involving tribal communities, lands, data, and cultural resources.

You will work with tribal governments, GLITC administration, IRB members, researchers, and programs to ensure ethical and regulatory compliance in human subjects research.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in public health, health sciences, social sciences, research administration, healthcare administration, regulatory affairs, or a related field.
• 6-10 years of experience working with tribal communities, Tribal IRB or health organizations, Tribal research programs, or IRB administration.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations and administrative functions of the Tribal IRB.
• Coordinate submission and processing of research applications and reviews (exempt, expedited, full-board).
• Ensure training for IRB members and staff is scheduled and completed.
• Prepare IRB meeting materials, agendas, and regulatory documentation.
• Maintain secure records in accordance with Tribal and Federal policies.
• Develop and present evaluation findings to guide program improvement.
• Maintain compliance with tribal laws, codes, and research review requirements.
