Job summary

Kenaitze Indian Tribe is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan and coordinate diverse events, managing the full lifecycle from venue selection to budget oversight. You will work across Tribal departments and community groups to deliver high-quality events that meet organizational goals.

This full-time, non-exempt role requires collaborating on annual meetings and employee events, with a focus on compliance and vendor relations. A valid Alaska driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum two years of high-profile event planning and coordination.
  • Alaska driver’s license and insurability per Tribe policy.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and manage all aspects of event planning, including venue, menu, and budget.
  • Coordinate with Tribal departments and community groups for events.
  • Plan employee events with HR and organize Annual Membership Meetings and other Tribal events.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and venues; conduct centralized purchasing as needed.
