Job summary

Kickapoo-Traditional-Tribe-of-Texas-1 seeks a part-time INOKOSKIPIIKI Worker enrolled in the Community Workforce program. Workers are assigned to tribal departments or projects to gain skills, support operations, and prepare for long-term employment.

Assignments may include field-based labor or office tasks such as clerical work and customer service. Responsibilities include construction, landscaping, offices, data entry, and customer service while upholding safety and tribal values.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic workplace practices (safety, attendance, accountability).
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Adaptability to different work environments (field or office).
• Effective communication with supervisors, coworkers and community members.
• Maintain professionalism and Tribal values on duty.
• Knowledge of safe practices in construction, landscaping, or general labor.
• Skill in using or learning to use hand tools and small equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform outdoor work in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily assignments aligned with the placed job role (construction support, office assistant, landscaping, road maintenance, or cultural-based work orders).
• Perform tasks in construction, landscaping, groundskeeping, road/bridge support, or cultural work orders.
• Assist with clerical duties including filing, data entry, answering phones, and visitor greeting.
• Follow directions from Director or Placement Supervisor to complete tasks safely.
• Maintain punctual attendance and report for shifts.
• Use tribal equipment and report malfunctions.
• Assist with setup and cleanup of projects (field or office).
• Uphold safety, confidentiality and departmental policies.
