Job summary

Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma, Inc seeks an Outreach and Awareness Specialist to coordinate victim services outreach, educational events, and awareness campaigns for tribal communities. You will create promotional materials, manage multi-channel campaigns, and report on program metrics.

The role involves collaborating with tribal programs, partners, and regional agencies; travel within the service area is required to implement outreach plans and ensure compliance with federal grant requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of one year of professional experience delivering community outreach, marketing campaigns, or social services within Indian Country preferred.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience using graphic design software, digital publishing tools, and social media platforms to build promotional campaigns preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning, execution, and hosting of victim service educational events with tribal programs, partners, and regional organizations.
• Design, print, and distribute culturally appropriate educational materials and handbooks.
• Develop promotional materials and digital content to inform tribal members about available support services.
• Represent the Victims Services Department at health fairs, workshops, and community conferences.
• Collect and analyze participation data, grant activity metrics, and quarterly objectives to meet reporting requirements.
• Build multi-channel public awareness campaigns from concept to print and digital publication.
• Maintain relationships with regional coalitions, shelters, legal aid, and tribal safety staff.
• Monitor grant targets to ensure compliance with funding mandates and reporting guidelines.
• Organize event logistics, venues, presenters, AV, and distribution of promotional materials.
• Prepare monthly summaries and outreach evaluation forms for leadership.
• Travel within the tribal service area to execute outreach plans.
