Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or Accounting with emphasis in accounting, economics, and finance.
• Minimum five years’ experience in financial management with increasing administrative responsibilities.
• Experience in Governmental Fund Accounting including working with encumbrances.
• A combination of relevant experience, education, and training may substitute for education and experience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop accounting policies, procedures, and internal control measures to protect KIC assets.
• Lead budgeting and financial planning activities with department directors.
• Oversee audits and coordination with external auditors to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain financial records and provide monthly financial reports to management and tribal council.
• Advise Tribal Administrator and department directors on financial matters.
