Job summary

Weastec, Inc. in Hillsboro, Ohio is seeking a detail-oriented associate to lead trial group technicians, issue purchase orders for trial lots to overseas plants, and support the start-up of new model products.

You will ensure accuracy of shipping documentation, manage packaging sketches with suppliers, and collaborate with TEC plants; an Associate Degree and 1–2 years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required and 1–2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) or ability to learn.
• Ability to operate a PC, a scanner and internal company programs.
• Strong language, mathematical, communication, time management and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and in a team; multitasking capability.

Responsibilities

• Issuance of PO's for trial lots to overseas plants and communicating with TEC plants on the shipping status of the trial lot PO's.
• Assists in the start-up of new model products prior to testing/inspection in-house.
• Leading turnover to MP meetings.
• Responsible for the accuracy of shipping documentation for trial lot orders.
• Packaging - submit new and revised packaging sketches to suppliers and customers.

About the Company

Weastec, Inc. was founded in 1988 as a subsidiary of Toyodenso Co. Ltd., a global leader electrical switches, electronics and sensors. Weastec supplies these products to the North American Automotive, Powersports and Power Equipment markets. The Hillsboro headquarters, a production facility in scenic southwestern Ohio, is conveniently located to deliver product directly to major OEMs such as Honda, Toyota and Volkswagen. Weastec prides itself on superior quality and world-class supply chain management, both of these are managed from the Hillsboro facility. In 2005, the Weastec Technical Center was established in the Columbus, Ohio suburb of Dublin. The technical center is responsible for design, development and testing of new products and is the customer liaison throughout the new product creation cycle. In 2022, Weastec reopened the Greenfield operations facility and began the introduction of automated assembly lines. This location also serves as additional warehouse space for the Hillsboro headquarters.

Job Summary

Leads trial group technicians in the processing of trial events, issuing of PO's, part requests and helps to provide supporting documentation.

Physical Demands
