Job summary

BD&J Injury Lawyers in Los Angeles is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join the Litigation Department and handle high-value personal injury cases from filing through trial. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with trial teams, and deliver exceptional client service.

Requirements include a JD from an accredited law school, an active California Bar license, and 1–3+ years of relevant litigation experience. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have a JD from an accredited law school.
• Active California Bar license is required.
• 1–3+ years of litigation experience in personal injury or civil matters preferred.
• Strong oral and written advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage a litigation caseload independently.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Client-centered approach with strong interpersonal communication.
• Spanish bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of litigated personal injury matters from filing to resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
• Attend and argue at court hearings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Coordinate with clients, experts, and medical providers to build case strategies.
• Oversee paralegals and legal assistants assigned to litigation cases.
• Maintain clear, ongoing communication with clients.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and pre-trial preparations.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex matters.
• Maintain organized case files and file documentation per firm standards.
