Job summary

King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office is seeking an experienced paralegal to support a trial-intensive workload with a dedicated team handling sexual offenses, human trafficking, and felony child abuse cases. The role involves assisting prosecutors, managing PbK case files, and handling discovery with confidentiality.

The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Must possess excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service to diverse groups including victims and witnesses.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and common legal software.
• Familiarity with PbK, evidence management, and related criminal justice programs.
• Bilingual skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist prosecutors in all phases of trial preparation, prepare and e-file legal documents.
• Maintain case management system to reflect updates and court dates.
• Manage discovery, index, Bates stamp, redact and prepare materials.
• Create witnesses' letters and subpoenas; coordinate witness travel as needed.
• Redact discovery using Adobe Pro and related tools.
